Multidisciplinary Assessment
We offer families of children from 2 to 11 years of age an appointment to meet us in the multidisciplinary clinic. This is an appointment where you and your child will meet with two appropriately trained professionals in order to explore your concerns, take a comprehensive developmental history and at the same time undertake a play-based assessment with your child.
The assessment covers a wide range of developmental difficulties including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit (and Hyperactivity) Disorder, ADD and ADHD) as well as other learning disabilities and Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD).

The team is usually made up of a paediatrician (children’s doctor) and one of our neurodevelopmental specialists - either an occupational therapist or speech and language therapist by background with specific neurodevelopmental expertise. However, we are sometimes joined by other professionals as well.
The appointments last for between one and two hours. At the end of the appointment, we will feed back our observations to you and make a plan with you for any further assessments that may be necessary. You will also receive a summary report.
We offer assessments across Norfolk, Suffolk and some parts of North East Essex. We also take clients from out of area who are willing to travel.
