Dr Leanne Horrocks
Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist
Leanne has worked as a psychologist since 2002, she is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and is a Registered Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC.
Leanne has worked with young people, adults and families within NHS CAMHS settings, Adult Services and Learning Disability Services as well as in independent practice. She has extensive experience of assessing and treating emotional and mental health difficulties in young people. Leanne has a specialist interest in working with young people who have experienced trauma or loss and who have experienced attachment instability. She is a Certified Theraplay Practitioner and uses DDP (Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy) to and work with fostered and adopted young people as well as families where there has been difficulties associated with high conflict family separation. Leanne has worked within the Family Court arena since 2009 and has provided training to Family Court Judges and other legal professionals on aspects of developmental trauma and resilience.
Leanne also has experience of assessing and providing post-diagnostic support to young people and adults who are neurodivergent and is particularly interested in the presentation of ADHD and ASD in girls and women.
